The Ellermeier Family

"I have been blessed with so much more than I deserve, to be here with the ones that love me, to love them so much it hurts. I have been blessed." - Martina McBride

Henry is ONE!

I know I've said it before but its worth repeating, I am so grateful for my loyal clients. I am honored each time a couple has me photograph their wedding and then again for newborn and family pictures. It's always a blessing for me to watch their families evolve and I'm so happy to capture all of their milestones. I photographed Alison and Clay's engagement photos, Henry's newborn and 6 month photos...and here we are at one year already. Gosh, time flies! Thank you so much, I hope you had a great birthday Henry!

Amy & Caleb

When I met with Amy and Caleb to discuss their wedding she mentioned that she wanted to do their engagement pics in their hometown, the same town where their wedding would take place.  You guys, this town (Maeystown, IL) is quite possibly one of the cutest little towns I've ever been to! It's like the town that time forgot and I mean that in the best possible way. No walmart, no chain restaurants, no traffic lights, there isn't even a gas station. It's so quite and peaceful. It was the perfect place for pictures! I'm looking forward to their wedding next month. :)

Solomon is 100 days old!

Jessica contacted me a few weeks ago and said that she and her family would be in St. Louis house hunting in mid May. She wanted to book a session for her son Solomon who would be turning 100 days old. It is Korean tradition to photograph and commemorate the baby at three months old, or 100 days. We had planned to do the pictures in Forest Park but the day of our session it was storming. Heavy dark clouds and heavy rain. Ugh. Since they were only in town for a couple days we weren't able to reschedule and ended up shooting inside their hotel room. I actually love how these turned out! Happy 100 days Mr. Solomon! Thank you. - A :)

Callie & Ryan

I met Callie five years ago when I photographed her sister Chelsea's wedding. I was thrilled when Callie called and told me that she was engaged and wanted me as her wedding photographer too! Callie and Ryan could not have asked for a better day, it was gorgeous! Thank you so much for having me photograph your wedding, it was an honor to see your family again! I hope you had an amazing time in Jamaica. Thank you! - A :)

Mama & Me mini sessions

"Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all." - unknown

Last weekend I held my first ever Mama & Me mini sessions. I'm so grateful for these mama's and their kiddos, I know it's not always easy stepping in front of the camera. ;)

January at a glance...

I can't believe that one month of the new year is already gone! It's been kind of a busy month. I tried a couple of new (to me) film stocks, Agfa Vista and Fuji Natura. I was impressed with both of them and will use them again in the future! Ella and I both celebrated birthdays. It's still hard for me to grasp that she is two already?! She's been on a Winnie the Pooh kick lately so we had a Pooh party. ;) Maggie was excited to have a snow day a couple of weeks ago and the girls enjoyed playing outside. January was a good month...bring on February! :)

Natasha & Kerry / St. Louis Engagement Session

It's been an usually warm December, yet the day we shot these photos ended up being the coldest of the season. Go figure. I gotta hand it to Natasha though, she rocked that dress and didn't flinch at all. Looking at those pics you'd never guess it was 37 degrees!? Thank you guys so much, I'm excited for your May 2016 wedding. :)

My girls

As a photographer you would think that I have tons and tons of photos of my kids, but truth be told...I don't. Sometimes I get so busy with work and shooting for others that I forget to shoot for myself. So last month I shot some candid photos of my girls. I absolutely love the authenticity of these photos...this is my every day. :)

Jon & Tippi / An Anniversary Session

A dear friend of mine and his wife recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. I was so excited when they asked if I would take some photos of them to commemorate this moment. They are so very much in love and still act like teenagers who just started dating. I love that about them. Congrats Jon & Tippi and here's to 30 more years! Love you! :)
